உலகின் மிகப்பெரிய நீல இரத்தினகல் ஒன்று இலங்கையில் கண்டுபிடிப்பதாக அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்துள்ளதாக பிபிசி செய்தி சேவை தகவல் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
இரத்தினகற்களுக்கு புகழ்பெற்ற இரத்தினரிபுரியில் நபர் ஒருவர் தனது வீட்டின் கிணற்றை தோண்டிக் கொண்டிருந்த போது இந்த கல் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக இரத்தின கல் விற்பனையாளர்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
நீல நிறத்தில் இருக்கும் இந்த கல் சர்வதேச சந்தையில் 100 மில்லியன் டொலர் வரை மதிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளதென நிபுணர்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
இந்த கல் சுமார் 510 கிலோகிராம் எடையைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இது 2.5 மில்லியன் கரட் பெறுமதியானதெனவும் குறிப்பிடப்படுகின்றது. இந்த கல்லிற்கு செரண்டிபிட்டி சபையர் என்று பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளதென கூறப்படுகின்றது.
கிணற்றை தோண்டிக் கொண்டிருந்த சிலர் அரிய வகை கற்கள் தொடர்பில் தன்னிடம் தெளிவுப்படுத்தியதாக கல்லின் உரிமையாளரான கமகே என்பவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
பாதுகாப்பு காரணங்களுக்காக தனது முழு பெயரையோ அல்லது இடத்தையோ வெளியிட கமகே விரும்பவில்லை. மூன்றாம் தலைமுறை இரத்தினகல் வர்த்தகரான கமகே, இந்த கல் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டமை தொடர்பில் அதிகாரிகளுக்கு தெரியப்படுத்தியுள்ளார். எனினும் கல்லில் இருந்த மண்ணை அகற்றி, அதனை பகுப்பாய்வு செய்து சான்றிதழ் வழங்குவதற்கு கிட்டத்தட்ட ஒரு வருடங்களாகியுள்ளது.
இவ்வளவு பெரிய கல்லை நான் இதற்கு முன்பு பார்த்ததில்லை. இது சுமார் 400 மில்லியன் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு உருவானது என புகழ்பெற்ற இரத்தினகல் ஆய்வாளர் காமினி சொய்ஸா தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இந்த கல் சர்வதேச நிபுணர்களையும் ஈர்க்கும் என தான் நம்புவதாக அவர் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். இது ஒரு சிறப்பு நட்சத்திர இரத்தினகல் என கூறப்படுகின்றது.
உலகிலேயே மிகப்பெரிய கல்லாக இது காணப்படுகின்றது. அருங்காட்சியகங்களுக்கு கொண்டு செல்வதற்கே அதிகம் ஆர்வம் காட்டப்படும் என தாங்கள் நம்புதாக இலங்கை அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
